Use A 3-Part Sales Funnel To Make More Money- More Often!
Every business should have a sales funnel! Yep! Every.Single.One!
Whether you sell products or services, or even a bit of both! Sales Funnels help you to guide your target audience on a journey that leads them from followers to fans to paying customers or clients.
Your sales funnel is a visual representation of how to attract people into your business and convert them into paying customers. The term ‘funnel’ is a huge buzz word lately, so it seems that lots of business owners aren't too eager to create a funnel or they simply believe that it's something over their heads or too advanced, for where they are on their own business journey!
Most commonly, many business owners simply get overwhelmed at the idea of having to have multiple offers for their prospects and like anything else, once you start to overthink an idea, it takes on a life of its own and seems almost impossible to make happen.
So, let’s simplify this whole sales funnel idea. K?
STEP ONE: OFFER YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE - SOMETHING FOR FREE!
Before you ask me if I'm crazy! Here me out: FREEBIES (or lead magnets, as some call them), are easy to create! But so many entrepreneurs have a tendency to create too many of them, which then spoil people and make them leery of buying when you do finally offer a paid item. (Don't do that!)
Easy freebies that you probably create every week are blog posts and emails, can be followed by opt-in freebies.
In other words, create some valuable CONTENT that can lead your target audience to another valuable offer that they can sign up for - so that you can obtain their email address.
If you add in anything shared via social media platforms, blogs, podcast interviews, or videos, you’ll notice that you spend an awful lot of time on free information. It’s all well and good to attract people to you, then create a series of emails to connect with them, but the goal is to nurture them as you move them on to the next level - which is to spend $ and/or do business with you - whatever your goal or offer may be.
STEP TWO: OFFER A LOWER PRICED OR LOWER LEVEL PAID OFFER
Once your prospects devour your value packed - free information, they will want more - so have another product or offer in place - but make it a paid item.
Create an ebook, a monthly membership site, recordings from a training or even an upgraded collection of similar products. You’ve gained their trust, so now is the time to impress them with your knowledge and the value that you share.
Once they hand out that first payment, it’s easier to sell them another item or offer, because they already know, like and trust you!
STEP THREE: HIGHER PRICED ITEMS AND OFFERS
One key to a successful sales funnel is pricing your items accordingly and at reasonable increments. If you have a group coaching program priced at $59/month, offering a high level mastermind retreat for $10K may be too much of a jump and extremely unrealistic! Instead, offer a $199 group coaching package, instead.
If you sold products priced under $50, a reasonable next level offer would be products or collections that range from $100 up.
Of course, knowing your ideal audience is key to creating your sales funnel, otherwise you’ll lose people midway through the funnel, before they ever make it to your higher priced offers and items.
DON'T RECREATE THE WHEEL: REPURPOSE YOUR CONTENT
Essentially, that is sales funnel, broken down into its simplest form: have three stages with three products, offers or components. So where do your find more free content? You should already have tons of free content (social media posts, Lives!, podcasts, blogs, etc.) - so let's focus on the other two paid products (from step 2 and step 3).
You don’t need to sit down and start writing thousands of words a day or recording dozens of videos.
Instead, sort through what you have and find a way to bundle valuable items together or combine like items into ebooks, reports, audio files, cheat sheets, checklists or video training classes. There you will have your freebie and can start loading up your own "sales funnel" with products and offer - all from content you can repurpose or "freshen" up a bit for your target audience's needs.
